Rev Dr Derek Stringer

Rev Dr Derek Stringer is a veteran Bible teacher, preacher, and broadcaster with more than 50 years of ministry in church and media.  

Born in Enfield, Derek and his wife Pauline now live in Broadstone, Dorset; they have two married daughters. In pastoral ministry, Derek previously served as a church pastor in Rugby and Salford. Alongside local ministry, he has preached and taught internationally in over 40 countries, and has contributed to both television (including ITN) and radio broadcasts that have reached audiences in more than a hundred countries.
 

In retirement he has served as a guest professor in São Paulo, Brazil, and continues to speak at church services and Bible conferences. He is also noted for regular “big screen” preaching to a network of more than 200 churches across five continents. 

Derek is an author of more than a dozen books on Christian living and Bible commentary, including The Gospel of Isaiah (a devotional commentary).  He is involved in Bible teaching through Grace Bible Church in Wild Rose, Wisconsin.  He can also be heard on Hope FM as the host of Fresh Hope, an hour of spoken word and music offering practical Bible encouragement.
